A while ago I have bought a book called Kustom Graphics. It is filled with great illustrations from very talented artists. One I especially noticed is Félix LaFlamme from Drummondville, Quebec. He illustrates insane concepts and monsters that look awesome. Check out LaFlamme’s Website for more information.
Last week I discovered the oil paintings of Jon Fox. He creates abstract worlds with terrific characters. I really like the way he deals with shapes. For more information you can visit his Website and his Blog. Check out these amazing artworks.
When I was 14 years old I had a T-Shirt from Mambo on which a blue genie-woman was. It was absolutely my favorite shirt because the illustrated Genie looks awesome. Unfortunately it is too small and shabby to wear. Anyhow, the shirt was designed by Rockin’ Jelly Bean. His wicked illustrations of half naked women inspired me a lot. So I want to show you some of his work.
The Beatsteaks are one of my favorite bands and their latest song “Milk & Honey” rocks again. Today I made some experimental fan art with the logo from the original cover artwork. It was just an exercise but it was great fun. I look forward to the new album that will be released at the end of January.
My latest technical gadget is a USB-Microscope with LED lights. It is so cool to see the world in this small dimension. Unfortunately it has just a VGA resolution but it is awesome for inspiration. I’ve made a small collection of some typical household elements that you can see below.
