Honda CBR600RR Poster

Last weekend I was in Hamburg at “Hamburger Motorrad Tage” a motorcycle convention. I saw many awesome machines for the upcoming season 2011. One of them that I noticed particularly was the Honda CBR600RR. An awesome looking bike with much power and great technologies like combined ABS.

Back at home I had to do something with that inspiration and I created a vector poster with the front of the bike.

Blog Theme Redesign

As you can see I´ve designed a new theme for my blog. It´s been a while that something was changed at the design. So I decides to make a whole new theme. The new one has a bigger area for the main content and a more useful sidebar. The main change is that you see almost the entire content of the newest articles on the Homepage. You can just scroll down and don´t have to click around to read the content of the article. In the old version you only saw some thumbnails and titles of the latest ten Posts.

Almost all articles that I publish have images which I want to show as large as it goes. Because large images rock. A next big change is the header. It´s much smaller than the old one. This has the advantage that you can see more content on the first impression.

Another reformation is a small portfolio page with poster designs and design studies from me. Last but not least I renewed the contact page.

Technical Informations

The site is written in HTML5 with new elements like: header, nav, section, article and footer. I´ve also used CSS3 stuff (box-shadow, border-radius, gradients, selectors) for styling some elements. I really recommend the HTML5 Boilerplate default. It was such a help with great tips and tricks.

Signalnoise Retro Poster Competition entry

I´ve uploaded my entry for the Signalnoise Retro Poster Competition. I am a big fan of James White and I am happy about the contest. Topic of the contest as the name suggests, is »Retro«. This is a big part of my personal style, so creating this Poster was a big fun.

Planet Platte Poster

I made this poster for the 30th anniversary of my home borough Marzahn-Hellersdorf. Marzahn-Hellersdorf is the tenth borough of Berlin. It is situated in the northeast of Berlin and the biggest accumulation of buildings made with precast concrete slabs in Europe.

Marzahn-Hellersdorf got not the best reputation in Berlin. But it is a great place with awesome pieces of nature and its own specific character.

The poster is mixed with some typical elements of this place. I hope you enjoy the poster and if you like it you can vote for it on the 30th anniversary competition of Marzahn-Hellersdorf.
